Poketo Pop-Up Shop Pops up in Culver City

Stores and restaurants are popping up everywhere. These temporary spaces turn shopping and eating into an adventure. At Royal/T in Culver City, the Poketo Pop-Up Shop is filled with original art and colorful designs and a special pix-fixe Poketo menu is being served in the cafe.

Founded by Ted Vadakan and Angie Myung, Poketo collaborates with hundreds of international artists. They have been commissioned to create exclusive products for several museums and by bands like Weezer, Arcade Fire, The Postal Service, and The Shins. The company designs limited edition art products, accessories, apparel, and decor. Their pop up shop at Royal/T features the release of a new collection of wallets by top Japanese designers, Devil Robots, Wonderful Design Works, and Motomaho.

Last weekend they were also at the Renegade Craft Fair. The Poketo pop up shop at Royal/T is open until July 19. For even more Poketo, they host bi-monthly art shows, performances, and other happenings in their downtown Los Angeles studio.

I got to see their booth over the weekend at RenegadeLA, it's pretty neat. I didn't buy anything but I may have to stop by and do so now.
