- Although the LAPD online crime map is full of holes and omissions, Chief Bill Bratton says he plans on sticking with it. He blames the problems on private vendors that were hired to develop the site.
- The memorial might be over but the fight over who is going to foot the bill has just started. LA City Councilman Dennis Zine has sent up a motion to review the cost for the the memorial. He disagrees with Mayor Tony V's estimate of $1.4 million and thinks it is somewhere in the range of $3.9 million.
- Things have gotten so crazy in the wake of Michael Jackson's passing that his dermatologist is now receiving harassing phone calls.
- The start of USC football practice is only weeks away but instead of getting hyped for another championship run, they are spending time helping out some kids.
- The FBI are getting involved in the investigation of a hate crime fueled bombing of a San Bernardino home. Ali Abdelhadi came home to clean up anti-Arab and white supremacist graffiti from his home when he was killed in the blast.
- Flag burning is legal in Laguna Nigel... as long as you own the flag youre burning. Apparently someone forgot to tell some vandals that went on a flag burning spree.
- Finally... It's that time for deep fried White Castle Cheeseburgers and chocolate covered bacon! Yes the OC Fair is back!
