Say what you will about the entertainer, the headline-maker, the musician, the defendant, the humanitarian, and the man who was Michael Jackson, but as she briefly took the microphone on stage, surrounded by her siblings, aunts, uncles, and grandparents, 11-year-old Paris Jackson's few tearful words said the world about Michael Jackson--her dad.

"I just wanted to say...Ever since I was born...Daddy has been the best father I could ever imagine...and I just wanted to say that I love him...so much."

Damn.
goodnight to the king.

They're re-streaming it over at http://jjpeg.com/watch28015.html and there's a download available at http://jjpeg.com/file2018451.html so you can keep a memory of it. All free of course.

god that was gut wrenching....my heart goes out to the family...

Is it weird that I really do believe he was a good father? He went through so much to get those kids (considering the rumors they aren't his at all), and he's really stepped aside since they were born to devote his life to them. It must be so hard to lose a parent when you're so young. To them, he wasn't "Michael Jackson," he was just their dad.

Very well said, couldn't agree more.

And after all is said and done...I bet he REALLY WAS a terriffic dad.

Ain't it sad that many people have to see this large amount of sadness just to finally convince themselves that MJ was actually a decent person; father. RIP.

I was impressed that his daughter looked completely natural and childlike: no make up, nail polish, etc and they all seemed supported by their extended family. May those children continue to be well cared for and their grief become muted with time.

Actually, if you look in the picture above you can see that she *is* wearing nail polish, but I take your point completely. Except for the long hair on the boys, those kids look like they could have been plucked out of my boring suburban church youth group in the 1980s.

That 30 seconds of heartbroken little girl was the only thing today that didn't scream undignified freakshow. Bless their hearts, all three of them ...

People used to call Michael eccentric because he purchased the corpse of the Elephant Man. I'm just curious to see who will buy Michael's corpse. Justin Timberlake, perhaps?

Seth

That kid, and her brothers, are one of the reasons I'm glad Jacko's dead. Can you imagine the same doctor that pretty much killed him was also "treating" them? Treating them for what? It's just a shame they can't escape that family all together. They aren't even blood related.

I lost my dad at a similar age, seeing her brought back many painful memories, its probably the most difficult thing i live with to date, my heart goes out to those kids.

I think he was a very good father and people shouldn't say bad things about him. Is children read articles and papers just like everyone else does and it would be wrong to say things about there father. It was heartbreaking watching that little girls pain. People should pray for them and the family.
