It's a pretty quiet week, as Cinefamily wrapped up their monthlong association with Comedy Death Ray, and lots and lots of folks are going out of town for the weekend. Still some great improv, stand up, and sketch out there so get involved folks. If you want to hear from me, want links to the best cat-related blog sites, or want me to hype anything hype-able, send all related correspondence to my robotic butler: J. Timms O'Mail-again.

MONDAY 6/29

Garage Band, 10p Westside Comedy. Westside house longform team Garage Band steps up to the plate.

b3oc, 11:30p iO West. Brian O’Connell performs three different long forms - by himself... in the dark... as the voices to all the characters, and even does his own music and sound effects. Wacky.

TUESDAY 6/30

Gabriel Iglesias, 8p Comedy & Magic. One of the hardest working local comedians, Iglesias takes his act to the beach.

The 313, 8:30p Second City. Big time long form improvisers from all over the Second City network.

WEDNESDAY 7/1

Elon Gold, 8p Laugh Factory. Elon’s one show “Half Jewish, Half Very Jewish” tackles his conflicted Jewish orthodoxy.

Punk House, 9p Westside Comedy. Some heavy hitters - and some misses - in the stand up arena west of the 405.

THURSDAY 7/2

Eric Griffin, 8p The Improv. Start July off right with some Eric Griffin stand up.

Last Day of School / Convoy, 11p UCB. Reacquaint yourself with some of the best weekly improv that UCB has to offer.

FRIDAY 7/3

Bob Zany, 10:30p Ice House. Bob is a longtime contributor to Bob & Tom, and is absolutely hilarious.

Let’s Do This! 11p UCB. This UCB showcase is absolutely exploding in the coming weeks, with great line-ups all over the place. Come out this week to see Ben Schwartz!

SATURDAY 7/4

Yes, We Are F*cking, 8p iO West. This comedy duo is not afraid to do some great improv scenes together, then go home and totally bone.

Go out and make your own laughs, considering it’s the 4th of July. Try FIREWORKS.

SUNDAY 7/5

Comedy Masters, 8p Ice House. Roger Behr, Harry Basil, and Jeff Altman all share stage time together as they work the crowd like they have for years.

Smug Rock Nation, 9:30p UCB. Alex Fernie and Alex Berg host the fake radio segment, summer music festival style.
