Map: Where to Watch Soccer Games with a Drink

View Soccer Bars Los Angeles in a larger map

Now that the U.S. is picking up steam in the soccer world (especially since a UCLA alumnus is the captain), this city might be getting a little more soccer crazy. Blogger, New York City transplant and soccer fan Max Lance is putting together a map of good places to catch a soccer game and is still updating it, looking for your suggestions. He's looking for places that will show soccer games with the sound on and the above map shows the places that do just that (have more? add them in the comments section below).

On Sunday, the U.S. will play in the Confederations Cup Final, either against Brazil or South Africa.

thank you so much for this post. i had plans to go to the red lion on sunday, and now i know to avoid it.:/

Thank Max, quarrygirl. Also, just make sure you call ahead to make sure they'll be playing it WITH sound.

Yeah that map is hella skewed. I gotta believe there's a gazillion places to watch soccer games in a city as diverse as Los Angeles. They may not be necessarily the trendy "pubs" and "gastropubs" et al.

Mercado Buenos Aires (market/eating spot)--Van Nuys. Excellent for Bocas Juniors games, Copa América/Oro.

He's just getting started, so it's going to be "skewed." Thanks for the suggestion on Mercado, I'm sure he'll add it.

I'll chime in too and would suggest looking into Bulldogs in Newhall and Robin Hood British Pub in Sherman Oaks

bulldogs!! gotta represent the SCV! holla!

There will be a large, vocal contingent of USMNT supporters at Joxer's, for sure. It'll be a good time, win or lose.

Cock n Bull in Santa Monica.

Cock n Bull (already on map) is a good one. They have food.

The Daily Pint on Pico (already on map) has one large projector screen, pool tables and shuffleboard. Not too much seating but a good vibe. They don't serve food though.

O'Brien's (not on map yet) at 2226 Wilshire Blvd in Santa Monica open at 11 a.m., I believe the game is at 11:30. They'll have it on with the sound up, plenty of seating there, and food.
