Local food blogger Sarah Gim's audition video (vote page)
Who wouldn't want to live in a Sonoma wine country house for six months getting paid $10,000 a month to eat, drink, schmooze, party and then blog all about it? In a stroke of viral marketing genius, Murphy-Goode Winery is holding a contest to win that job and the voting ends this Friday.
Anyone could enter (and people still are) and that of course means local food bloggers are going for it, too, like Sarah Gim of The Delicious Life and Tastespotting fame (see above video, you can vote for her here). We're sure there are more Angelenos like Deidre Hopp (her video is below) trying out, so let us know in the comments section!

Go Sarah!!
Good luck to all the contenders, especially my girl, Sarah!
FYI They're no longer accepting new applicants! :(
I threw my metaphoric hat in the ring, too: http://tr.im/paxV
THANK YOU, ZACH!!!
THANK YOU, ZACH!!!
nina...Nina...NINA!!! ;)
Todd Havens here, another L.A. local who has thrown his hat into the ring. Woo-hoo!

A couple of L.A. peeps (Frank Gutierrez and myself) have even been endorsed by VinTank (http://bit.ly/NNEuL), a Napa-area think tank, for which he have been humbled and honored and are working hard to bring Wine 2.0 to the whole industry. When Murphy-Goode succeeds in social media, the entire wine industry succeeds.
Thanks for the coverage, Zach!
Gosh, I love the Twenty-First Century.
I mean, who ever would have thought that "I twitter" and "I yelp" would turn out to be desirable job qualifications? :-)
ummm, those activities *mostly* help those who are already really hot (and/or famous).
LA MapNerd:
actually, that's the only reason i am doing this.
so i can prove to my family that all the time i waste on facebook, twitter, yelp, and my blog is actually worth it!
Well, I don't really mean doing those things, those activities, so much as the fact that one would say the words "I twitter" or "I yelp" when trying to impress a potential employer. :-)
The science fiction writers always said we'd talk funny in the future. :-)
Thanks, guys!
I too applied for the Murphy Goode Job.
