Popular low-cost carrier JetBlue debuts their new service to LAX this morning, as they are scheduled to land their inaugural flight from New York's JFK at 10:45. It's been a bit of a wait, however, for the airline to begin service from our major airport; today's launch comes after "a yearlong delay," caused by a period of soaring fuel prices that made cross-country air travel costly, reports the Daily Breeze.
Passengers, however, are expected to enjoy excellent service and their innovative "Customer Bill of Rights" from JetBlue, on four daily flights from LAX--2 to Boston's Logan Airport and 2 to New York's JFK on A-320 jetliners. To celebrate the new service, you might want to take advantage of their fare offer: "JetBlue passengers flying from LAX to New York or Boston from Sept. 8 to Nov. 11 can purchase tickets this week for $109 each way."
LAX is the third area airport JetBlue serves, and travelers may notice a small reduction in flights offered weekly from Long Beach and Burbank, but the airline is hoping Los Angeles--their 56th destination--will be well-received.

How do you get this price?
I'm pulling up September flights from LAX to JFK it's telling me $134 and up.
post-Sept 8 flights, that is.
maybe the promo starts after that first flight lands at 10:45?
Nope, still $134. Annoying.
It probably means that all the seats priced at $109 have been sold out.
I doubt all the seats priced $109 are sold out considering I was checking this deal the morning it was announced. Besides, Virgin America charges that price regularly for at least one LAX-JFK flight a day.
