TV Junkie: Lakers; 'True Blood'

"Weeds" on Showtime @ 10pm
So how about those Lakers? Better yet, what is your opinion on the coverage of the NBA finals? Who provided the best/worst commentary? What do you want to see in future basketball TV coverage? How about what kind of post-championship street riot coverage you'd like to see?
----
Also - how about the season premiere of "True Blood"? If the HBO series stays true to itself, this will be a great season as indicated by last night's episode. We particularly enjoyed the imaginative flashback scenes of the Sam Merlotte character. Did you watch "True Blood"? What did you think?
---
Does anyone remember the CBS special "I Get That A Lot" which featured celebrities working menial jobs undercover? According to The Hollywood Reporter, it turns out that April Fool's airing was a huge winner and CBS is now ordering 3 more hours of the special.

True Blood was fantastic! So glad it's back. I think this will be one of the HBO shows that sticks around for good while.

The worst commentary was by Magic Johnson. He is my favorite point guard of all time, but he offers nothing in the broadcast booth. He even said that the Lakers would lose game 5. I'm still undecided on Jeff Van Gundy. He offers up some funny and poignant moments, but he clearly avoids saying anything negative about his brother.

thanks for the feedback hiroucla - you hit some good points there, I agree that Magic wasn't contributing much

I dug the Nurse Jackie pilot... Carmela Soprano meets Bringing Out the Dead (with music from Valley of the Dolls!) What's not to like?

True Blood is just godawful. The writing is cheesy and awkward and the acting, most significantly Anna Paquin's, is hilariously bad.
