COMEDY
Times are tough all around, but that doesn't mean one can't take a break every now and then to laugh it up a bit. If you are out of work, take your unemployment check stub (or other proof of unemployment) down to the Laugh Factory in Hollywood for free admission to the 10 PM show.

PHOTOGRAPHY
Tonight is the last night for I Photograph Rock Stars at the A&I Gallery in Hollywood. The exhibition features photographs by Greg Watermann, widely considered as one of the World's top music photographers. This collection includes pictures of Ozzy Osbourne, Linkin Park, Coldplay and many others. If you can't make it today, head down to A&I in Santa Monica starting at the 18th of this month as that will be the exhibition's new home through July 24th.

FILM
Only a few days left to check out the 2009 UCLA Festival of New Creative Work, running through June 13th. The festival showcases a wide variety of films, readings and discussions, amongst other activities. Tonight's activities include some staged reading of acclaimed screenplays, plus the presentation of Distinguished Achievement in Screenwriting Award to Dustin Lance Black of Milk fame.

ART
Cherry and Martin hosts I am a bird now, the gallery's first solo exhibition at its new location. Featuring the works of Antonio Adriano Puleo, the collection includes murals, paintings and sculptures reflecting a unique blend of natural history and modern abstraction. Through June 27th.

SELF-HELP
Perhaps a little meditation will help you relax and get through the rest of the week. The Kadampa Meditation Center offers guided meditation classes, complemented by advice on living a more fulfilling life from Buddhist nun Gen-la Kelsang Dekyon. Cost is $12 and does not require prior registration. All are welcome.
