Just in case you were wondering, Kyra Sedgwick, wife to Kevin Bacon and who plays the hard nosed LAPD Deputy Chief on TNT's "The Closer" received a star, the 2,384th star, on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday. It's located around Cinespace at 6356 Hollywood Blvd. She also sits on the board of the Natural Resources Defense Council.

How many degrees away from Kevin Bacon's star is she?
From her EW interview about The Closer:
"EW: What's it like being away from home for half the year?
KS: It's gotten harder. This year there was some discussion about moving the show to New York, which was shot down for many reasons, mostly fiscal. And I'm thinking, But what about me? I've given so much. So we'll see next year."
Yeah - what about you, Kyra? What about your sacrifices? Never mind the hundreds of crew members who have been with you since the beginning of this show that put you back on the map - they'll just lose their jobs in a shit economy and a tanking business in a city that's hemorrhaging film sets.
Never mind your co-stars, you clearly don't care about them since the show takes place in LA and all of them are LAPD - the only way to move "the show" to New York is to move Brenda Lee to NYPD, which means all those actors will lose their jobs too.
But you're right. Fuck 'em. Life's too hard to have to live in two places, and you've given so much.
