Might This Offend You, Yeah?

The latest installment of "Ice Age" is soon to arrive in theaters. To announce this now-trilogy's release, Los Angeles drivers are greeted by an extendo-billboard featuring the film's protagonist. His prominent, elongated nose, and pair of chubby cheeks are impossible to miss. Some may feel that this nut-clutcher offers an uncanny resemblance to the business end of the male reproductive system. His woodland critter pals seem to be snickering at something. What do you think? Comment Below!

OK, umm, I never saw that before even during the original Ice Age movie. Look out, Joe Camel!

Sometimes a nose is just a nose.

and i guess it's not jewish... ZING!

Really?? As a person who was born and raised in America, I can honestly say that this country is way too uptight when it comes to what we want to censor.

it's no more or less phallic than the silhouettes of the buildings with towers/domes in the middle and wings on either side in the LAist and DCist and other logos. Move along, nothing to see here.

just got off the phone with my source over at 20th century fox marketing who said they're in an uproar, they never authorized this billboard ... the most they've been able to come up with is that the billboard was supposed to be an ad for some guy's cock & balls and it would seem some miscreant graffiti artists got to it in the night.

Sure it looks like a phalus. But I have no objection to full-frontal nudity plastered on our billboards.

Give America what it wants!

Movies and advertising using phallic imagery? Say it ain't so!

oh my god, people need to not look into shit and get over it.

Slow news day? C'mon, unless you see everything THAT way, there is no reason for this.

But then if you see everything THAT way you should be working in the valley.

Bye.

anything that is longer than it is wide is sure to be construed as phallic symbol

I'm absolutely sure that the final image of this poster was approved with a smirk or tongue-in-cheek. The genius is always how nobody can "prove" it. It's subliminal. These people have a sense of humor just like anyone and it's designed to keep the "adults" entertained and have something to talk about. Meanwhile, the kids are like...Ah, what a cute squirrel! I like the fact that he's actually holding a "nut" too. It's almost signature like. It just confirms it. No harm done.

Right... I'm sure the kiddies are saying what a cute squirrel.. wonder what their subconscious is thinking when they see that.... most of these subliminal messages are targeted towards children... it's sickening how many phallic symbols and sexual innuendoes can be found in children's cartoons and programs nowadays... gotta get'em while they're young must be their motto... But it's ok... it's all in fun and entertainment... some sheep sure succumb blindly to subliminal messages and symbols that are rampant all around them... they don't question it, for they have become part of the landscape ... it's become the norm... Anyone who questions is told by the rest of the sheeple to 'relax' 'chill' ... no wonder this country is so full of slaves and they don't even know it...

Cmon... its just a dang squirrel.

He should get that black thing on the end looked at by a doctor.

Joshiedoozie, I sure hate to be you living life thinking there is a subliminal conspiracy around every turn.

Maybe you should train your subconscious to not think/associate "naughty" thoughts and the subliminal messages won't be such a big deal.

Sheesh... it's just a cartoon squirrel.

You know what's funny how little (big things for this matter):) affect peoples lives.. I never heard anyone bitching when Joe camels "penis" nose was all over billboards.. It's called sex sells.Even in childrens movies. It's just marketing to the adults that take there children. Single mom middle age might be attracted to this billboard.. All it is is smart marketing. SO obviously if this bothers you you might as well throw your ass into incoming traffic because this is just the way the world is these days.. Sorry to burst your bubble Hollywood.. :(
