New Happy Hour: Summer Fridays at Viceroy

For a fun, swank and, more importantly, cheap way to kick off the summer, hit up the new happy hour "Summer Fridays" poolside at the Cameo Bar in the Viceroy Santa Monica. Starting tomorrow from 2 to 6 p.m., boozers on a budget can enjoy drink specials dictated by the time of day. Get there early at 2 p.m. to snag a glass of wine, well drink and beer for only two bucks each. If you wait until 5:59, your drinks will be $5 each, still not too shabby a deal.

Affordably-priced bar menu items will keep you sated between drinks: $2 fried chicken and biscuit sliders, $3 pulled pork and bbq sliders and $4 mini cheese quesadillas. For more eats, order the four-slider platter for $10 or half a dozen oysters for $15.

Fancy folk and their friends may want to reserve a poolside cabana. During the happy hour, the cabanas can be had for a $100 rental fee and two-bottle minimum. FYI, bottle service is half-priced during the happy hour.

Le sigh, there's nothing like ending the week with some tasty and wallet-friendly cocktails by the pool.
