Little Armenia business owners are making headway in creating a stronger neighborhood brand. Coming soon are signs on the 101 Freeway near the Sunset Blvd. exits identifying where the neighborhood's location, the Little Armenia Chamber of Commerce announced in an e-mail last night.
They also announced two upcoming major improvements. One is an Armenian Gateway Monument Installation and the other is the formation of a business improvement district (BID) along Sunset between Edgemont and Wilton, including adjacent businesses along Western. Of the projects the BID plan to take on include security, better street maintenance, beautification and homeless services coordination. Go, Little Armenia!

How about this as a slogan? - "Little Armenia, where eyebrows come to meet."
snapsnapsnapsnapsnapsnapsnapsnap.
This area has the potential to be such a great bridge between Los Feliz and Hollywood. I'd love to see it jazzed up.
Other than the Armenian eyebrow jokes (Armenians love to joke about themselves more than anyone else) this neighborhood could be so much more. The food is awesome. Some of these Armenian bakeries produce incredible breads and delectable delights. I do hope they keep the charm and don't turn it into Armenian Disneyland.
Another way to improve the area: Inside voices when speaking.
I live on the edge of Little Armenia and Los Feliz. It's a beautiful area, but obnoxiously loud.
I'm not quite sure how putting up more signs directing people to an area is considered an "improvement" on the community.
Armenians have done a spectacular job cleaning up Glendale. I always considered Little Armenia to be pretty culturally defunct in comparison. Perhaps we should change it to a Little Italy? (we can dream).
