"Dane Cook: ISolated INcident" airs commercial-free at 10pm on Comedy Central
Comedy Central is presenting the premiere without commercial break which is unprecedented. In "ISolated INcident" Cook addresses some of the hate and vitriol that have been directed at him over the past few years and he does it well. It seems a shame that any discussion of Cook's stand-up work will be framed by past allegations of plagiarism or the opinion of other comedians that "he isn't funny" and we don't think this performance will convert anybody who is in this mindset. While we didn't care for some of the jokes that are dependent upon his immodest braggadocio, this performance is very good and it's great to see the familiar interior of The Laugh Factory compared to the bizarre and characterless performance spaces typical of comedy specials.
