Playlist-less: Local High School Bans 20 Songs From Prom

Arcadia High School doesn't want to mess around when it comes to, well, songs that reference all kinds of messing around. Songs that are in heavy rotation right now on the radio and on the iPods of many high schoolers include ones that "glorify prostitution, casual sex, and inspire some major bumping and grinding on the dance floor," explains MomLogic.

And 20 of those songs are verboten at Arcadia's Prom, which is being held tonight at Universal Studios. The campus's Women's Health and Issues Club "made a list of three hundred songs that they find objectionable and degrading to women and asked that those songs not be included in the playlist at the prom. This request led to the school banning twenty songs."

Dissed from the list this year: "Shake" - Pitbull; "Get Buck in Here" - P. Diddy; "Drop" - Timbaland; "Low" - Flo Rida (feat. T-Pain); "One More Drink" - Ludacris; "Starstruck" - Lady Gaga; "Go Girl" - Pitbull; "Right Round" - Flo Rida; "Smack That" - Akon; "Lollipop" - Lil' Wayne; "Get Low" - Lil' Jon; "Turning Me On" - Keri Hilson (feat. Lil' Wayne); "Rockin' That Thang" - The Dream; "Beep" - Bobby Valentino (feat. Young Jac); "Boom, Shake, Drop" - DJ Laz; "Turn Me On" - Kevin Little; "I'm In Miami" - LMFAO; "A Mille" - Lil' Wayne; "Bojangles" - Pitbull; "Put that Thang Down" - Ying Yang Twins

what happened to the days of having a band play?

No worries. There's still Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch Up."

I'm surprised that "Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It" by Ice Cube wasn't on the list.

So I guess they will be playing Kelly Clarkson's "I Do Not Hook Up".

I would play NIN's "Closer".

The music kids listen to nowadays is soooo stupid. Put me down for NIN "Closer" too.

God all those songs sound so trashy and stupid. I feel sorry for kids these days. "I'm in Miami"? "One More Drink" (okay I like Ludacris, but still)??

I don't even know any of those songs.. kids these days
