Santa Barbara Fire: 'Last Night, All Hell Broke Loose'

As the fire neared the city last night, firefighters last night took a stand. "The fire was threatening the city directly," Santa Barbara's Acting Fire Chief Andy DiMizio said via the LA Times. "Last night, all hell broke loose."

This morning, the Santa Barbara independent reported seeing 100 foot high flames in on area. And although the high-wind warning was set to end at 9 a.m., the winds will not totally go away. Today and tonight, they will persist, albeit at lesser gusts.

In all, 2,800 acres have burned causing 30,000 people to evacuate at this moment.
