Midnight Movie: Ten Years of 'DEEP' House

Every Sunday a crowd gathers in Hollywood to dance to the best in real house music at DEEP. One of LA's internationally successful house DJs, Marques Wyatt (who gave birth to this weekly,) can be heard most Sundays. DEEP's crowd resembles more of a melting pot than typically seen in Los Angeles and they're there to dance to the soulful sounds of Wyatt and his world-class guest DJs.

Bouncing from club to club, DEEP now calls Vanguard home. It's here where they celebrated ten years of dancing last February (a rare feat in clubland.) This video is the Sportscenter-esque highlight version of that seven hour party which featured Wyatt, New York house legends Tony Humphries and Louie Vega (of Masters at Work,) and DJ Spinna. The Purple One, Prince, even showed up to have a dance (not seen on this video.) It's safe the party was shakin' and the poppers was popping' and the breakers was breakin'. By the looks of DEEP's up-for-it crowd, they might be doing so for year's to come.

"…they might be doing so for year's to come"

Allow me to correct that last sentence for you:

"…they will be doing so forever."

I loves me some deep house; Naked Music, Miguel Migs, Jay Denes, Ben Watt.....
