Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Skullphone, Space Invader & More Art Coming to WeHo Next Week

Next week Thursday, one of LA's most progressive contemporary art galleries will open two shows of note. The first, Get Rich Quick, combines the forces of household names like Banksy and Shepard Fairey with pieces from artists including Skullphone, Space Invader, David Choe, Faile, Ian Francis and KAWS.

"There's a lot of stuff people haven't seen or at least seen in awhile," said Seth Carmichael of Carmichael Gallery of Contemporary Art in West Hollywood. As for further details on what Banksy work will appear, he and his wife could not elaborate (good surprise to come?).

Also opening in the gallery's front section the same night is "When All The Stars Are Gone," which is the first U.S. solo exhibition by Thais Beltrame from Brazil. “Supposedly all the stars we see today have been dead millions of years,” she explains about her work in this collection, which focuses on the skies for inspiration and solitude. “Perhaps this is why human beings feel so alone: we live beneath a sky which no longer exists.”

The Gallery is open Tuesday through Sundays from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Both shows end on the 28th of May.
