This Week's Most Popular

When you read something you like on LAist, we love it when you hit the "recommend" button, and we love it even more if you put your two cents' worth in the comments. Getting a dialog going with our readers and making sure we're giving you content you can use are top priorities for us.

So here are this week's top three posts, as endorsed by you via the recommend feature, or as indicated by the level of talk going on in the comments...

Video of the Day: Naked Man at Coachella Tasered by Police
It's been hailed as the best tasering video since the infamous "Don't tase me bro!" incident. The fact that we have a legacy of tasering videos aside, this video from the Polo Field of Coachella shows a would-be wizard in his birthday suit (draw your own conclusions about the size of his, uh, "magic wand") refusing to get dressed, and being restrained and eventually tased by the police.

Seven Questions with Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt
The MTV love to hate/hate to love darlings talk about how great it is to be #2, how sad no one pays them $100k to party at any clubs anymore, how fantastic Heidi's music career is gonna be, and how unqualified Dr Drew is to assess their psychological makeup. Also, what makes Pratt happy? "Gold bricks. How many of them I have stacked up." File under creepy, douchey, 15 minutes of fame, vapid, celeb "reality" check.

Gold Line Eastside Extenion: Let's Call it la Linea de Oro
What's in a name, right? "County Supervisor and Metro Board Member Gloria Molina wants to offiicially rename the Edward R. Roybal Gold Line Eastside Extension to its direct Spanish translation: la linea de oro, Edward R. Roybal. That's because the communities it serves are more than 95% Latino." Practical, political, or plain silly? (The official vote: It's both!)
