- While cases of swine flu are being reported in different areas of the country like New York, Kansas, Texas and California, there have yet to be any cases reported in LA or Orange Counties. Cautions should be taken like covering hands when coughing or sneezing, washing hands frequently and avoiding contact with people when ill.
- Miss California went on a show to tell the story "we haven't heard". She is still fielding questions from all around regarding her response to Perez Hilton's question about gay marriage.
- Road rage struck at an intersection in Atwater Village when a man opened fire on another motorist over a driving disagreement. The injured driver drove himself to a police station and was later taken to a hospital.
- Laura Chick will begin her role as the Governator's stimulus fund watchdog Monday. California is to receive about $50 billion in federal funds.
- Madoff scam victims in California are looking for help in the form of tax refunds. The idea is to recover taxes paid on profits that actually didn't exist.
- Some interesting questions are being raised about why heavy, wind catching wires are allowed to be used on wooden electric poles without calculating the risk or collapse.
- Finally... Congratulations to Moorpark High School for capturing their 4th Academic Decathlon title! They continued California's dominance with the state's seventh win in a row and the 16th in 27 years of the competition.
