The Body Shop Reopens Tonight

A fire erupted at the Body Shop, a landmark strip club located on Sunset in West HollywoodAfter five very long months, nude dancing finally returns to the Sunset Strip tonight. The Body Shop, which was heavily damaged as a result of an electrical fire, will open its doors and dusts off the poles for the first time since that December 4th blaze.

While the patrons who were forced to take their dollar bills elsewhere and the girls girls girls who had to find a new stage are happy to see the landmark West Hollywood club return, they aren't alone. Steve Whitmore, spokesman for the family of club owner Salas Almudarris tells the Daily News, "All the businesses around there have been suffering since the fire."

The legendary all nude strip which first opened in the 1940s as a burlesque club underwent a million-dollar renovation to recover from the damages of the fire. The Body Shop opens at 8 p.m. tonight. Whitmore adds, "In this time as we know ... things are closing down. This business is reopening.''

Wonder how long the line is going to be before they open the doors at 8 o'clock? It just seems odd that all the guys are going to wait until the get inside before they start pitching tents. HEY OH!

yay, congrats to the body shop! that was a rough time for all those folks to be out of work...

I just got back. A friend of mine was dancing. Pretty packed! Got in for free, no stupid 2 drink minimum either. The girls were actually extremely attractive. Seems like the economy has lots of people gravitating to the pole...
