BENEFIT
The Ocean Park Community Center would greatly appreciate your donation of canned foods/non-perishable items tonight. In return for some of those items, Dixon Drums will let you into their Beats for Eats party at the Santa Monica Music Center. Free food, snack and drinks will be made available, as will door prizes, including t-shirts, drum sticks and other goodies. If that doesn't appeal to you, perhaps you want to head down there to show off your skills at RockBand 2 in front of other party goers. Starts at 5:00 PM, RSVP via the referenced Beats for Eats site.

MUSEUM
A unique collection has made its way from the far east to the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana. Art of the Samurai: Selections from the Tokyo National Museum features a variety of objects reflecting many aspects of the highly accomplished culture of the Japanese Samurai. Most of the objects are dated back to the Edo period extending from 1603 to 1868. Collection items include hand crafted swords, armor and scroll paintings, amongst other pieces. Through June 14th.

ART
Works by Oswaldo Guayasamin are featured at MOLAA through August 16th. On its last stop in a two year tour, the Of Rage and Redemption: The Art of Oswaldo Guayasamin exhibition features a collection of over 80 varied works by the late Ecuadorean artist, many of which reflect his feelings about social injustice and in particular, the plight of indigenous Andean peoples.

MUSIC
If you are feeling a bit nostalgic tonight, head down to The Grove in Anaheim by 8 PM. Rock's original all female act, The Go-Go's, headline tonight's show. Sure to be a great treat for all the 80's music fans out there.

COMEDY
Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre will teach us a lesson tonight about why you shouldn't be posting your drunken pictures on Facebook for the world to see. Facebook is a comical take on audience member's actual profiles. Before you volunteer your profile, you may want to make sure there is nothing on there that could be -- or you wouldn't want -- used as comedy material. Fun starts at 9:30 PM.
