Local Artist, Plasticgod, takes on Celebrities their LEGO Doppelgängers

We caught up with Los Angeles based pop culture artist Doug Murphy aka Plasticgod at his show Thursday night at Xin Boutique/Gallery (see the video interview below). Plasticgod discussed the origin of his work and showed us a few of his latest pieces including a “Three’s Company” series which he had just finished that day for the show.

Plasticgod, better known as "The 21st Century Warhol," applies his own twist on celebrity caricature comprises the popular "Heads" collection of over 1000 pop and political icons. Exhibiting since 2001, he has shown extensively (over 100 shows) in galleries and art museums. You can pick up a celebrity Plasticgod or have a custom Plasticgod created in your likeness on his website.
