On the heels of Iowa's ruling last week, now comes Vermont. "The Legislature voted to override Gov. Jim Douglas' veto of a bill allowing gays and lesbians to marry," reported the Associated Press.

California's gay marriage law is still stuck in the state's supreme court. They have until June to decide if Proposition 8, which banned gay marriage last November, is law or not.

Isn't it nice to see states act rationally?

Oh, to dream.

Our Supreme Court did act rationally. It was the douche bags who live in this state who ruined it.

The lying religious extremeist douche bags. (hey, doesn't that mean they committed a sin to get their way?)

Sorry, by states I mean the people inside the state. You are correct, MsMeryMac, a slim minority and the legislature did act quite rationally.

If only I could say the same for all my coworkers, neighbors, family and friends.

soooo weird it still hasn't happened in CA.

I wish I didn't feel inferior to Iowa. Enjoy it, farmboys!
