TV Junkie: Obama's Ratings Fall but he's still the President; Cheryl Hines' 'In the Motherhood'

"The Office" on NBC @ 9pm
Nielsen says that President Obama's latest press conference slipped in the ratings and that the CW series, "Reaper", gained (the implication is that Obama is suffering from overexposure). I'm not sure how many teens would be that in economics, much less everyday Americans. I guess former President Bush avoided these kind of comparisons by not doing press conferences and by spending more time on vacation than any other president.

We are trying to be optimistic about tonight's debut of "In the Motherhood" on ABC @ 8pm. The reviews for it haven't been great - perhaps a reason why ABC didn't send us a copy. "In the Motherhood" started out as a web series but the transition to TV hasn't sat well with many. Regardless, our not-so-secret crush on Cheryl Hines ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") will keep our blinders on for at least the first episode.

Last night's "Damages" has us primed for next week's season finale. More pieces are falling into place; William Hurt was brilliant; Rose Byrne was still too skinny; and it looks like Patty Hewes has everyone by the short hairs. Another great season, hands down.
