"Extreme Ice" on PBS's "Nova" @ 8pm
Thank you Oxygen, for the priceless research that determined "early 25% of women would rather win "America's Next Top Model" than the Nobel Peace Prize, however, 75% of women said that they would be willing to shave their heads to save the life of a stranger." We already knew that thousands would risk getting stomped to death in a riot in order to even "compete" in a modeling show but I guess we needed more of these gems in order to get on with our days.
Online TV watching continues to expand and is proved by Hulu's 30+% increase in traffic this February. Old media might slowly be "getting it" - we will give them that.

That study is worded in such a biased way. Assuming two possible answers (and I have no reason to think there were more than that), flip the statistics. "75% of women would rather win the Nobel Peace Prize than 'America's Next Top Model,' and 75% of women said they would be willing to shave their heads to save the life of a stranger." It's not actually contradictory. The study also asks women to choose between marrying for looks or marrying for money. I don't know anyone who has married for either of those reasons. And in the end, the study concluded that... women are complicated. You mean like, maybe we have thoughts and feelings and motives that aren't all the same? Thanks, Oxygen! I was unawares.
