Tonight Australian-American singer-songwriter Rick Springfield will be headlining the Roxy. Get rickrolled in person! North Hollywood-based indie rock outfit the Eye the Ear & the Arm are poised to play Mr T's Bowl in Highland Park. And, lastly, Sara and Sean Watkins of the now-defunct Nickelcreek will be performing at Largo at the Coronet's Little Room for the famed Watkins Family Hour. But we strongly suggest heading over to the main room at Largo at the Coronet to catch bluegrass singer-songwriter Gillian Welch with her longtime musical partner Dave Rawlings.

Yay for some love for the Rawlings Machine gig that's been practically bi-weekly for 3 months! It's an amazing time where loads of talented musicians stop in and share the stage with Gillian & David. Jenny Lewis and Jackson Browne joined them one night. Heartbreakers' guitarist Mike Campbell and Whispertown2000's Morgan Nagler on another. I'm sure lots of others on the nights I haven't gone. It's also just a great chance to see these guys play with a full band.
