It's President Barack Obama's last day in Los Angeles. Today, he'll head out to Pomona, then back to downtown for a town hall and off to a taping of the Jay Leno show. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be a good number of street closures (see the map below the jump):
- Streets South of Beverly between Witmer and Beaudry
- Streets East of Witmer between Beverly and 4th Street
- Streets North of 4th Street between Witmer and the 110 Freeway
- Streets West of 110 Freeway between 4th Street and Beverly
There are no tickets left for any of Obama's appearances, so it's best to avoid the area as traffic will probably be crazy. There were also lots of street closures in the Century City area yesterday, so expect some of the same this morning.

The state of California will use federal economic stimulus money to put at-risk young adults into green jobs, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced Monday. After meeting with Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis in Sacramento, Schwarzenegger announced the launch of California Green Corps
The program will use at least $10 million in federal economic stimulus funding from the U.S. Department of Labor and an additional $10 million from public-private partnerships for a 20-month pilot program that will target at least 1,000 at-risk young adults between the ages of 16 and 24. The program will have 10 regional Green Corps throughout the state and will be housed under the California Volunteers agency.
