'This was beyond anything I expected': OctoMom Brings 2 Babies Home Amid Media Frenzy

Word buzzed about town yesterday that Nadya Suleman, aka OctoMom, was due to bring home two of her eight newborn babies to her family's new home in La Habra, according to the Huffington Post. The arrival sparked a media frenzy:

Scores of photographers, reporters and gawkers who had staked out her new house for hours clung to her vehicle as she arrived home late Tuesday in a homecoming reminiscent of the scenes that have surrounded Hollywood's infamous celebutantes.

Suleman rode in the back of an SUV, her face beaming as cameras frantically clicked and flashes went off. Although she professed feeling nervous about the safety of her newborns, she did not seem to mind the crowds--in fact, footage captured of the arrival shows her looking amused and pleased with the attention.

Things did, however, get a little tense: "The media mob shoved and pushed, with some grabbing and riding the vehicle until the garage door closed despite being dented and nearly pulled off its tracks." The mob was noisy and insistent, and in the video recording captured by Suleman's "official" website, Radaronline.com, "laughter was audible from inside the vehicle after the garage door closed." Suleman says she called the police after the vehicle was in the garage.

"This was beyond anything I expected," she is quoted as saying.

Noah and Isaiah, weighing about 5 pounds each, were greeted by their 6 older siblings, and will be joined by the 6 remaining octuplets, two at a time, as Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Bellflower sees fit.
