Air Force One will be landing at Long Beach Airport around 3 p.m. this afternoon, which has the city letting residents know of a few things for today and tomorrow. Security measures will be strictly enforced, especially in regards to traffic. Additionally, no parking will be allowed on Lakewood Boulevard or Spring Street.
Inside the airport, there will be no public viewing of President Obama's arrival and departure as the outdoor balconies on the second floor of the terminal building will be closed to the public. "Slight delays" are also expected during the late afternoon today and tomorrow.
Obama's two day visit will include a town hall meeting in Costa Mesa on Wednesday afternoon, an electric vehicle plant tour in Pomona on Thursday morning, an LA town hall later that afternoon followed by an appearance on the Jay Leno show and then a departure from Long Beach around 6 p.m.

wait, why are there road closures in century city today, allegedly for obama? his schedule takes him nowhere near here -- right? costa mesa, pomona, downtown LA's town hall, Leno in Burbank, and Long Beach airport (all nowhere near Century City).
My question exactly, sucatrapsorter!
I was wondering the same thing, as I work in Century City. Apparently, he's staying at one of the hotels in Century City, hence the street closures.
Does anyone know what roads are blocked in and around century city today the 19th?
