President Barack Obama's trip to Southern California just got a lot better. Not only will he be hosting a town hall in Orange County on Wednesday, he'll have one in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon, too.
Via the White House, here's the low down for getting into this event: "This event is free and open to the public but TICKETS ARE REQUIRED. A limited number of tickets will be available through an online lottery. Individuals interested in registering for this lottery should enter their contact information at www.whitehouse.gov/latownhall. Individuals will then be selected at random and contacted with event location and ticket pick-up information. Individuals who are selected will be given two tickets. The online form to register for the lottery will be available online until noon, Pacific on Tuesday, March 17th."
The town hall location will be announced to those who get tickets (and yes, it will be in LA and pretty central to everything). Program begins at 1:00 p.m. with doors opening at 11:00 a.m.

I like Obama just fine, but isn't there work to do in Washington DC?
yeah, that Obama dude has been totally slacking since Jan 20th.
# Pledged to close Gitmo by 2010. And asked that all trials currently going be stopped.

# Gave the order to be completely out of Iraq by 2011.

# Gates decided to allow photos of flag-draped caskets at Dover Air Force Base if the families of the fallen troops agree.
# Banned four accounting gimmicks that Bush used to make deficit projections look smaller.
# Moved to rescind a Bush rule that allowed health-care workers to deny abortion counseling or other services if doing so would violate their moral beliefs.
# Salazar scrapped leases for oil-shale development on federal land in CO, UT and WY, and halted the leasing of oil and gas drilling parcels near national parks in UT.
# Ordered the DoT to make higher fuel standards by 2011, and asked the EPA to allow states to raise their standards above the national level.
# Won't let nuclear waste be stored at Yucca Mountain. Pledged to stop the development of new nuclear weapons.
# Reversed a Bush rule that reduced the input of federal scientists in determining if a project harmed endangered species.

You forgot:
#encouraging bad business practices and debt by bailing out failing business and bad home loan takers.
#Intentionally creating a healthcare crisis (by making owners pay 65% of cobra on terminated employees-who will most likely just drop insurance for all since they only have to pay the 65% if they offer insurance) so that he can swoop in and install the national healthcare.
No, I wouldn't say I forgot those. I could create a list of shitty things Obama has done since Jan 20th. I was merely showing that, regardless of what you think of these policies, he HAS been doing... STUFF.
Part of his job is to sell the country on the work that he's doing in Washington. I really doubt this is going to be a HappyHappyJoyJoy type of event.
Did you see him drinking a beer and 'talking trash' at an NBA game the other day?
We are so ungreatful. Obama has been helping us middle people so much but you are too racists to see through that hate. Look at what Bush did to this country. He did those damages in 8 years and our President has only been in his position for a little over a couple months and has helped many so much already. He does not have super powers. Only Jesus does. He cannot fix this country in seconds. Stop being incompetent. use your top head not the buttom.

How are we being ungrateful if they are proven facts that Obama isn't for the people. People behind Bush are the same as the people behind Obama. There is no difference, except for the picture. Keep believing the media... keep fearing... what ever happened to we the people?
Congress really makes the final say. He is helping us by lowering our taxes. He is making sure that these greedy people make a cap of $500,000 a year max not $40 million dollars years after years. Why does one need $40 million dollars a year? That is $160 million in four years and I can't even afford to pay for my rent. I am making $11.00 an hour and when you take out the taxes out, I am really making $7.15 cents an hour. My rent is $1075.oo I need to eat, The CEO's have private jets, yachts and islands in the Hamptons. I need to worry about my lights being cut off. He is doing the right thing. These rich spoiled people are brain washing the low intellect individuals to make it seem like Obama is not qualified for the job. I do appreciate him. He is ran by congress but he is using the little authority he has to make some important necessary changes. But we are too hateful and judgemental to see that. A lot of us feel like he owes us because we voted for him. We owe our selves to support this man. He has came form the buttom. Yes there are going to be certain decisions that he would need to take but it is for the best in the long run.
