- A car careened into a Woodland Hills office and struck a woman at her desk. The 56-year old woman was treated for minor injuries while the motorist was questioned but not immediately arrested.
- The UC is thinking about re-opening Martin Luther King Jr. - Harbor Hospital. The plan is to have a nonprofit group run it with around 120 beds in late 2012.
- Does LA need a "road diet" in the name of fixing traffic? It's sort of like the "if you build it, they will come" concept, but opposite. Ted Rogers at Biking in LA talks about the transportation planning technique of reducing lanes and building bicycle boulevards that relieves traffic congestion.

- More taking advantage of the elderly (wtf??) The live-in caretaker of an elderly woman is facing charges of fraud for using her identity to open up false bank accounts and purchase cars. The elderly woman is now facing a possible foreclosure of her home. Ugh...
- LAX airport along with some other airports may miss a 2015 deadline for runway safety improvements set by Congress.
- Finally...Eater LA shares a report that says some big local eatery chains (Del Taco, El Pollo Loco, Chevy's and others) are facing the real possibility of defaulting on their debts and going out of business. Yikes.
