Midnight Movie: Does Las Vegas Care About their Light Pollution?

KCET's Socal Connected last week looked into Death Valley National Park's pollution problem. Light from Las Vegas--but also some from Los Angeles--is encroaching in on one of the few places in the country that let's you experience true darkness. The Associated Press and National Geographic both recently looked into this issue, but KCET takes a different turn: they go to Vegas to see if anyone cares. Ha.

Death Valley is around 250 miles, or 5.5 hours, from Los Angeles. A little closer at about 120 miles is Anza-Borrego State Park. USA Today once listed the park as one of the top ten places to go star gazing in the U.S. Apparently, you can see the Andromeda Galaxy.
