TV Junkie: Give Fallon Time; Models vs. 'Lost' & 'Damages'

More Lost tonight
Critics are being rather forgiving of Jimmy Fallon's (only slightly shaky IMHO) "Late Night" debut: they brought out DeNiro who is always a tough interview and Fallon kind of made it work, and Timberlake kind of saved the first show - not sure why they had Van Morrison on, are they trying to reclaim the age 55-and-up demographic?

Fallon deserves time to adjust. He's already proven that he's a good interviewer, but the opening monologues and sketches have been painful and that is where the most adjustment will be required. We hope to see the show be a venue for great comedy writing and guests.

Tonight prepare to be assaulted by models on The CW and Bravo or by more mindgames on "Lost" and "Damages". Choose your poison. Late night options are hot, check them out after the jump.

Jimmy Fallon was terrible. The monologue was bad and his first bit involved paying $10 to audience members who were willing to lick a lawnmower. Didn't he have months to prepare for his debut?

He was also bad on SNL and he's bad in feature films. Unfortunately, if he's cancelled, they might just give the job to... Carson Daly? Yikes.
