Death Cab for Cutie Looks Back on California Wildfires in Latest Music Video

"Grapevine Fires" was inspired by lead singer and guitarist Ben Gibbard's up-close-and-personal encounter with 2007's California wildfires. Death Cab For Cutie's mesmerizing new animated music video "Grapevine Fires" is directed by Walter Robot (a.k.a. the team of multimedia artist Bill Barminski and writer Christopher Louie). The song was included on "Change is Now: Restoring America's' Promise" the official commemorative CD-DVD set celebrating President Barack Obama's inauguration.

Death Cab For Cutie starts their 2009 tour on April 7. They will play in Southern California at the RIMAC Arena at UC San Diego on April 29 with Cold War Kids.

That's a great video, but I don't like Death Cab.

Can't believe those teen lovers were running around so close to the fire, what a shame...
