Drunken sailors, road-ragers, stand-up comedians, excitable sports fans, ranters, teenagers, and anyone with a four-letter bomb habit, listen up: Tomorrow Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is set to declare the first week in March "No Cussing Week," reports the Daily News.
Antonovich's spokesperson explained the motion is "a good reminder for all of us, not just young people but everybody, to be respectful to one another and watch the words we use." It was a young person who came up with the idea, actually. 15-year-old South Pasadena High's McKay Hatch has been on a mission to clean up his classmates' potty mouths.
Of course, no one will be following us around with bars of soap poised for a penalty washing, and no one will appear with a "swear jar" to take your cash if you let the curses fly, but at least you might police yourself and gain some self-awareness, and maybe keep it up. That's all Hatch really wants: "If you can do a week without cussing, maybe you can do two weeks. And then maybe a month."

With all of the issues we are facing right now this is what the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is spending their time on????
Thanks a lot.
This is some stupid shit...
fuck that!
I already cussed during my morning commute on the 405..
Fuck McKay Hatch for being a lame cunt at 15. Pre-destined douche from such a young age. What a dolt.
McKay Hatch didn't come up with it. His father, who is a motivational speaker, did. And he's using it to make a profit.
I know about his father. I still say fuck McKay Hatch for not standing up to his dad. When they're 15 most kids won't let their dad dictate what to eat for dinner, and this pussy is doing a "no-cussing" campaign for him? Douche.
Also, I think it's ridiculous that people are treating vulgarity as something to 'abstain' from, as if it were some sort of harmful addictive narcotic.
I dunno if it's possible, but I'm going to curse even more. And in public. What an asshole.
Insanely dumb. Why don't these people just move to Utah.
