Early Wedensday morning at 12:20 a.m., a 48-year-old Burbank woman answered the front door of her West Jacaranda Avenue home only to be shot dead by the man on the other side. Last night, police got a break and arrested Armen Mangasaryan, 29, of Burbank. Motive and his relationship to the woman, if any, is unknown at this time. The woman's boyfriend was home at the time, but was not considered a suspect.

It seems odd they'd release the name of the suspect, but not the name of the victim.
It seems more odd that someone would answer their door, only to get shot in the face by someone who promptly leaves in black clothes and a black Mercedes. This is some Sopranos shit.
I heartily agree. And despite the description, this isn't a particularly "upscale" part of Burbank, but rather just a typical, nice, suburban street. There is definitely seems to be some sort of antecedent history we don't know about.
Most murders tend to be between people who have some sort of relationship, whether that be friends, family, sex or work. I'm thinking this is not just random.
