Anger Management Might Make Chris Brown 'look better'

Chris Brown is taking anger management classes; will face Rihanna in court soon

Monday afternoon, R&B singer Chris Brown was in Glendale. He wasn't shopping at the Americana, mind you, but rather was showing up for his first anger management class. Brown, who turned himself in after allegedly making criminal threats against his girlfriend, Rihanna, is not required to take the class, but his team think it's a good idea, according to the New York Daily News. "Chris doesn't actually have to go by law but he believes it will make him look better to the public, and he wants to try to get in a few classes before [his] March 5[th court date]," a source told the paper. Just how much of the law will affect Brown is not known, but many believe he won't face jail time. He will, however, have to face Rihanna, who is expected to testify against the 19-year-old in court. 'Looking better' is a curious concern for Brown, who certainly didn't do much to improve Rihanna's appearance on the night in question.

No, actually, there's nothing he can do to salvage his career. Aside from his Stans nobody is going to forgive or forget him. I want to jump on his head until it pops open.

ITA 'ol Chris Brown just "Ike Turnered" himself.

Felony assault when it comes to domestic violence is a big deal in this town (ala O.J. Simpson). Law enforcement will tell you they take it seriously.

it takes a long time for folks to completely stop their abusive patterns. i hope the folks prosecuting him say that in court.

even if he doesn't go to jail, his career is washed up. people never forget.

I have to disagree - other people in hiphop have done much worse and they're still idolized.

Only people with real brain cells will realize this guy is a dirtbag, but that's not his target audience anyways. So this will not damage anything, maybe lose some endorsements, but he'll be back singing whatever the hell he was singing and be forgiven.

i don't agree with ya phdiaz. personally i don't associate chris brown with hip hop at all. he's more on the r&b/popular music if anything.

sure. there has been various hip hop/r&b folks that have done much worse than him beating up rhianna. but that doesn't mean that he'll be on top again like he was before. doublemint and the milk ads dropped him like a bad habit in less than one week. few radio stations even stopped playing his songs right after that.

but then again... r. kelly can piss on a teenager and that's ok? r. kelly did have a career after that craziness. but i don't think people will ever see r. kelly or chris brown the same again.

not hip hop? Sorry -I actually don't know or care who he is. Tupac sexually abused a teen and sodomized another, and he went out on top. A lot of famous people (in any industry) did plenty of bad things and people eventually forget or forgave.

He would have had to kill her and a cute fuzzy animal with his bare hands and eat them - THEN will he reach a point where everyone will hate him, except maybe cannibals.

Not that I'm saying one is worse than the other, but given that Rihanna is a public figure with a lot of fans, it will be much harder for people to forgive Chris Brown. People see the victim, they feel like they know her! Unlike R. Kelly, Tupac, etc. The victim in those cases were just anonymous women that nobody ever knew.

I think he's done. At least I hope so.
