TV Junkie: Presidential Address; Finales for 'Leverage' + '10 Items or Less'; TV Viewing Trends; Happy Birthday Abe Vigoda
Timothy Hutton in TNT's "Leverage", tonight @ 10pm
According to Nielsen, we now have confirmation that DVRs are making it easier for people to watch even more TV, as TV viewing for Americans "older than 2 years" has now increased to 151 hours per month, a 5 hour per month increase over last year. On average, folks watched less than 3 hours of video on the web per month, not much of an increase over last year.
More numbers are coming in for Sunday's Oscars: looks like viewership went up 13% and not the 6% we reported yesterday, still the audience was the third-smallest in Oscar-viewing history of the past 40 years.
Also, happy birthday Abe Vigoda (1921).
