- Citrus growers and the Salvation Army teamed up for a great idea. Having needy families brought to the groves to "glean" excess fruit for themselves. Great move and saves fruit that would otherwise go to waste.
- We know about the state ordered "Furlough Fridays" for certain state offices and service workers. But POLICE?? Well that's what San Bernardino is looking at right now. Police union officials are saying that furloughs are a breach of contract and are threatening to sue. Yikes...
- Ok so you can get your address number painted on your curb... just make sure you leave a $20 "donation". Sounds fishy...
- From the "WTF?!?!?! Department"... An animal sanctuary has been accused of euthanizing animals in order to cut costs. A former employee claimed that he saw four euthanizations done in 40 minutes. Ugh...
- YAAAAAAY!!! Another excuse to go out and grub! Orange County Restaurant Week is here! Feb 22nd through Feb 28 taste the best of the OC at a discount rate! nom nom nom!
- A Tustin man has been accused of lying on his citizenship papers about ties to terrorism. The FBI, immigration and local law enforcement from an anti-terrorism task force arrested him and are charging him with perjury, naturalization fraud, procuring a passport by fraud and making a false statement. He could face up to 35 years in federal prison.
- Finally... We've seen our share of dirty pool and mudslinging in politics... but stealing signs? C'mon...




I love the gleaming idea, and it's probably better than whatever you could get at the supermarket, since it's picked fresh and not sitting for weeks in a box.
