The weather gods spared our weekend, but come tonight, the dry spell is over (and no, that's not a post-Valentine's Day nookie reference). We're talking rain, and lots of it.
"Another significant storm is forecast to move into Los Angeles County late Sunday," the Daily News reports. "Rain is expected to continue through Monday night and linger into Tuesday," and that could wind up being "1-3 inches along coastal and valley areas with up to 5 inches in the mountains."
The wet weather comes with the usual cautions: Heavy snow in local mountains and traffic woes on the Grapevine, flash floods possible in recent burn areas, and strong winds on our water bringing a gale warning for mariners. Temps are going to stay on the cool side; 40s overnight in most areas, and highs in the upper 50s to low 60s for the daytime.
