If you are a Time Warner Cable customer in LA or OC, and you're hoping to snuggle up at home with your honey (or solo), you might feel the love from your cable provider with their 1-Cent movie promo happening this weekend. The OC Register explains:
Time Warner Cable is offering 40 movies on demand this weekend for 1 penny each during its “1 Cent Love N’ Movies Deal.’ The 40 movies, including a handful in HD, will be available beginning at 12:01 a.m. Saturday morning, Feb. 14. The special sale ends Sunday, the 15th at 11:59 p.m.The movies are listen on Channel 1; look for the "Thank You" category there or under "HDTV Movies" or "Movies on Demand Classics."
You can keep things on the frugal side by charming your date with some budget-friendly dining options, and go for the whole dinner-and-a-movie routine. On the chance that the movies (or snuggling, or sugar, or booze) inspires more, err, intimacy, just be sure to play it safe.

Time Warner still sucks. I will not be won over by 1 cent movies. Hulu ftw!
My biggest beef with TW is the millisecond signal interruptions that continue years after acquiring Comcast. They can't iron this out? What the hell is causing it anyway?
It's especially annoying when watching a dialog heavy movie or a music event. Amy Winehouse is not nearly so enjoyable when her raspy voice and backup band are totally silent for a second or less. And these interruptions are often accompanied by display problems.
Hardly worth what I'm paying for this even in a bundle.
Yup, ordered once cent movie and had terrible signal interruptions. Also, at first there were HD options then On Demand went completely offline and came back with no HD. time Warner still sux.
