LA Lakers defeat Oklahoma City Thunder 105-98. The Lakers lax defense down the stretch almost cost the fans their tacos. The game really was never in doubt. But watching Russell Westbrook make his jumps was a reminder to all Bruin fans last year. Man is he good. But the Lakers make short work of the Thunder and get ready to play the Jazz in Utah later today.

LA Kings defeat NY Islanders 4-3 (SO). The Kings finished their Grammy Awards roadtrip going 4-1 and 6-1 in their last seven road games. Jack Johnson scored the only goal in the shootout handing the Islanders their third straight defeat by the hands of the Kings. The Kings are making a strong push for the playoffs.

Notable Notes

  • Guess who's back? A pitcher who looked at any moment to cry right there on the mound, Jeff Weaver was offered a minor league deal by the Dodgers. You know what really chaps me about this guy? He has a World Series ring with the 2006 St. Louis Cardinals.
  • Last night's the Indiana Pacers defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers at home. With a 21-31 record, they have defeat the Boston Celtics, Lakers, Cavaliers and Orlando Magic. Go figure.
  • For anyone looking to see what goes on behind the scenes on signing day, ESPN's Bruce Feldman documents UCLA's experience.
