It's "the year of the Grand Slam" and Denny's has brought out masses of people this morning for the free breakfast promised yesterday during Sunday's Superbowl Game. Pictured above is the Dennys on Sunset in Hollywood shortly before 9:30 a.m., and across the city, we're hearing of the same: long lines stretching around street corners. It was a 45 minute wait as of 9 a.m., but free breakfast on this day extends until 2 p.m. Enjoy.

Earlier: There's No Free Lunch, but Today at Denny's There's Free Breakfast!

I'm listening to 'Slam' by Onyx right now in support of this momentus day.

around 8:30am this morning i drove by the Denny's on Wilshire on the same block as the Wiltern. and the line of people covered the entire length of the block. i was wondering why. now i get it!

I look at this the same way I look at the huge lines for one little scoop of 31 Flavors: My time is worth more than that.

Rather have Good Neighbor in Studio City, anyway. ;)

Hey - at least the homeless get a free meal today, courtesy of Denny's.
