Superbowl Jack-in-the-Box Commercial Eerily Similar to Reality

It's obvious that Jack got hit by a bus on Hope Street in downtown Los Angeles, as seen last night during a Superbowl Commercial. If you keep up on downtown news, you might find it similar to a crash last month.

"I can only imagine what friends and family of Gwendolyn Coleman thought if they were unfortunate enough to be watching the Super Bowl and paying attention to the commercials," wrote Damien Newton at Streetsblog LA.

Coleman was hit and killed by a bus on Flower street in January.

Yeah and that commercial where they drive the car down the street-- that was just like last week when I saw a car driving down the street!

I'm with Carl, without the (admittedly, pretty funny) snark. This is a nationwide ad, likely put together before the tragedy, and probably after someone else in this city or another city also was hit by a bus. And, on that note on what we should get up in arms about - wasn't there another commercial where someone got hit by a bus? And another one where a guy was thrown out a window? And a koala was punched square in the face? I personally was most offended by the awful Bob Dylan/Pepsi ad. Ugh.

What do people do when they watch TV in general? Get outraged when something reminds them of real life?
