Piggy Bank Alert: New iPhone Rumored for Summer Sale

It seems these days you can't swing a dead cat without hitting someone whose glassy eyes are fixated on the tantalizing business card-sized screen of their beloved iPhone. Techies, Apple enthusiasts, and gadget junkies alike, take heed: There are rumors swirling around that hint that a new iPhone could hit stores come summertime, based on some clever 'decoding' by techies of iPhone software update numbering.

The new phone is expected to boast improved gaming abilities, possibly including "enhanced graphics - allowing users to play games that feature 3-D graphics," according to the NY Post. iPhone Applications have been a booming enterprise for Apple's iTunes and developers (especially if you create one called "I Am Rich" and charge $999.99 for the single image of a red gem). Incidentally, on top of all the nifty things the gadget can do, it also can make and receive phone calls. Who knew?

When the iPhone first came out (you know, way back in 2007) many Angelenos wondered if the move to what was then the great unknown was a good idea; now, of course, after two rounds of releases finding people camped out in front of our city's Apple Store locations, it seems that more and more people are drinking the iPhone-flavored Kool-Aid. Ready to upgrade? Times are tough, so you may want to start saving your spare change now to you'll have enough by summer.

"THIS JUST IN: NEW IPHONE PROBABLY COMING OUT AT SOME POINT IN THE FUTURE! EXPERT ANALYSTS EXPECT IT TO BE BETTER THAN OLD IPHONE!"

OH SHIT!

I bought a blackberry last month and am perfectly content. Of course I'm also content spending $500+ less on a sony laptop with the same specifications as a mac.
