When LAist heard that Opening Ceremony had a Hello Kitty house from Puroland in their store, we headed over to see our favorite feline's new digs. This adorable Hello Kitty house sits in the middle of the men's department.
The name Opening Ceremony evokes the Olympic games. Co-founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim like to create retails battles between countries in their globally inspired store. This season U.S.A. vs. Japan. The work of Japanese designers (Comme des Garcons, Haversack, Tiny Dinosaur, and G.V.G.V. and more) fills the racks. Hello Kitty is here to represent and celebrate. So kawaii!
Opening Ceremony is located at 451 North La Cienega Boulevard

this is really cool - but the men's department?
This is actually just in one particular section of the men's dept...opening ceremony is the jam!
Great pictures Julie, but where is this place?
451 N la Cienega Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90048
sort of hidden...and bring a few thousand dollars...
Yes, most of the inventory at Opening Ceremony is pretty expensive, but there are also gift items and other things. Plus there is nothing more fun than looking though all of the rooms upstairs and downstairs. It's a treasure hunt of amazing things. Check out the Lego room upstairs!!
