The Background
Well, in the 1920’s, Dr. Albert Abrams used this knowledge to diagnose and treat disease believing that “disease is an aberration of the electron structure, a change in the otherwise uniform flow of electrons constituting the field of energy which is radiated from the physical organism.” He developed a successful technique using his studies from abroad and within the United States. Since then, the technique has been refined, machines have been created and the following has increased.

Today
We have our very own doctors of vibrational medicine in the Greater Los Angeles area, and LAist decided to take a visit. Judy Cutler and Dr. Gail Ramsey have a small office in La Crescenta. (It should be noted that the women are nutritionists. While Dr. Ramsey is a licensed and practicing chiropractor, they are not medical doctors. They are nutritionists.) They use the machine, developed by Dr. Abrams, that with a lock of hair is able to test the energy levels of each gland and organ in an individual's body. They are able to detect the vibrational frequency of the adrenals, thyroid, liver, and kidney... you name it, they can test it. With that data, they then use their knowledge of homeopathy and nutrition to create a program that supports the organ function to optimal standards.

Judy has been working with this technique for the last twenty years, with great success. Dr. Ramsey recently joined this practice, while also continuing her chiropractic practice. They work in a small office, but they don’t need much to get there job done.

The sample (hair) is placed in the machine, which to a novice (us) looks like a radio with a dial and touch pad. Each organ has a predetermined frequency, that was found after years of research, which is entered into the computer portion of the machine. So, we aren’t going to lie, it is kind of hard to explain, but the sample is tested against that frequency to determine if there is a problem.

How is it tested? Well, we know it may sound to you like magic, but since we put our hands on this and felt the difference, we can say there is something real there.... So the sample is in the machine. The frequency of the organ has been entered. By sliding your hand against the touch pad and turning the dial, you can determine if your body is “off” from the frequency of the organ. If your liver, for example, is in great condition it tests at 100%, or it may indicate a problem by testing at 98%. How does it do this? Well, when the hand you are moving back and forth suddenly stops on the machine, you read the output. And, we mean it... your hand literally just stops on the machine. Again, we do not know, nor care to understand how, but we can say it was frigging cool!

Once they determine where your body might be off, and this takes hours of their time after you have left, they work with a series of nutritional and homeopathic products to help you get back on track.

Like anything, it may take a few visits. The visit to get your hair tested. The visit to get the results and the recommended treatment (included in the price). And, the follow up visits to see how you are responding.

Unfortunately, we won’t have our results for about a week. And, we didn’t go in with any serious complaints, so we are just getting our nutritional values tested... and, yes, we are bummed we ate chocolate cake and drank a bottle of wine the night before.
