$190,000 More Mormon Dollars Spent on Prop 8

The Mormon Church now admits to spending almost $200k more than the $2k they first claimed to pass California's Prop 8 A report filed yesterday with the California Secretary of State reveals that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints "spent $190,000 more supporting the Proposition 8 gay marriage ban than they previously reported," according to the Daily News. The amount previous given was only $2,078. The money was spent on travel for church leaders based in Utah, use of facilities and equipment at their Salt Lake City headquarters, and to pay employees to work on passing the controversial proposition banning same-sex marriage. The Mormon church is now "being investigated by the state Fair Political Practices Commission." Donations to the Prop 8 campaign have attracted much attention from the media and from groups who opposed Prop 8; a recent motion to keep private the names of donors was denied on Thursday. A full list of Mormons for 8 donors is available online.

THE CALIFORNIA TEACHERS ASSN spent $1.3 million opposing Prop 8 and countless hours trying to persuade naive people into believing that the schools had no stake in Prop 8. They tried to hide their involvement, but could not explain why Jack O'Connell, School Superintendant, kept popping up on TV ads in opposition to No on 8. Obviously Jack is a PIG in this issue, fully committed to the destruction of our kids.

We will be sure to keep the list of No on 8 donors active. Many teachers are now reaping what they sow, as the bottom-feeders are falling out in the form of lay-offs. These teachers spent countless hours using our tax dollars to create their Gay Agenda culture. The irony is that NAMBLA tells the Gay Activist Group that they are one in the same. Harry Hay, the founder of the modern Gay Rights movement was just that one in the same, all a molested little boy, pedophile, and a homosexual.

Not unuusal, since 95% of the Catholic priests child molesters were HOMOSEXUAL. Yup, Cardinal Baloney, you have to answer, because your homosexual protection is not a part of the Catholic church or any religious doctrine. Over the last two decades, a series of pedophilia scandals made national headlines that did not fit the usual pattern of adult men victimizing young girls. Here the perpetrators were 100 percent male but, in 90 percent of these cases, the victims were boys, either prepubescent or teenage.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has not donated ANY money to Prop 8-- not a cent. Its members sure have. But not a dollar of tithing or fast offerings has been used to promote Prop 8. Please make the necessary corrections.

That article from the Daily News is clearly contradictory to your beliefs on the matter.

If they spent money paying employees to help pass the measure, where do you think that money came from?

I suggest doing some more reading. The "church" clearly did spend money and time attempting to influence legislation, which also goes against their tax status.

Are you people serious?? The church itself has not donated the ~40% of total contributions that its members have, but they have lied about the amount that the church itself has.

"Top officials with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints filed reports Friday indicating that they donated more than $180,000 in in-kind contributions to Proposition 8, the November ballot initiative that banned same-sex marriage in California."

So I imagine the LA Times should be "making the necessary corrections" as well? You people would cut off your nose to spite your face, it would seem.

I suggest youfocus on the $1.3 million that the California Teachers Assn donated to the No on 8 fialed cause. They then lied and claim that they had nothing to do with Prop 8.

They even had Jack O'Connell step away from his school desk and speka his lies.

If you have a D- grade from teaching in California, I think he has no time to address anything but re-training teachers. They also got a D for their ability to weed out bad teachers.

These same teachers were part of the group who took their students out of class, failing classes, to tote signs and march for criminal illegal aliens to stay here and out of jail.

I suggest YOU PEOPLE FIND YOUR NOSE, and if you are male you would need to first pull it out of a same-sex asshole.
