It's essentially an irreversible change that will last for more than a thousand years," said Susan Solomon, one of the world's top climate scientists, to NPR this week. Today, KCRW's To The Point looked into the issue further, even bringing up population problems as a contributor to causing the global climate change.

it amazes me that even among an intelligent group like LAist readers, we always have the idiots and the deniers blaming people like pelosi and gore as a nice way to divert the issue at hand — as if they should go sleep in huts w/o electricity or something in order to not be hypocrites.
you know the only reason, mr. mayor, that you bring up these politicians is because you think you have the high ground...that since the politicians are hypocrites, that makes it OK for you to live your life of overindulgence. at least they're TRYING to do something, as compared to your GOP counterparts who are nothing more than shills for the oil, gas coal and any other industry that wants to line their pockets — people that would rather see themselves gain status over the benefit of society. what the hell have they ever done to benefit the environment???

Global warming is nothing more than a big hoax, propagandized even further by a former politician masquerading as the global warming 'messenger'.... apparently it has worked... since thousands of people believe every little word he has to say without question or some sort of skepticism ... the only one profiting from this 'movement' is Al Gore....
What does AL Gore have to do with this report. Is Al Gore sneaking into all the laboratories around the globe planting lies. Are the small island nations who are sinking as sea levels rise just making shit up for some global theater?

personal feelings of the man aside, gore used EVIDENCE to build a case...something you apparently don't know how to do.
Great. Why was this published? Now the right-wads will stop saying "It's a hoax" and start saying "it doesn't matter; its too late."
